Peppered Chicken with Garlic and Honey

Peppered Chicken with Garlic and Honey Ingredients

Appropriate for: CKD non-dialysis, Diabetes, Dialysis, Gluten-free, Heart Healthy,

Serves Four

  • One 4-pound roasting chicken
  • 1/2 cup honey (or more to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (or more if you love garlic)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (also add more if you love pepper)
  • 1 TBSP olive oil

How to Prepare Peppered Chicken with Garlic and Honey

  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Grease a baking pan with olive oil
  • Place whole chicken in baking pan – do not overlap pieces
  • Coat the whole chicken with honey and seasonings
  • Bake for 60 minutes (or until brown on both sides)
  • Turn the chicken once, 30 minutes into 60-minute cooking time
