Peppered Chicken with Garlic and Honey Ingredients
Appropriate for: CKD non-dialysis, Diabetes, Dialysis, Gluten-free, Heart Healthy,
Serves Four
- One 4-pound roasting chicken
- 1/2 cup honey (or more to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (or more if you love garlic)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (also add more if you love pepper)
- 1 TBSP olive oil
How to Prepare Peppered Chicken with Garlic and Honey
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Grease a baking pan with olive oil
- Place whole chicken in baking pan – do not overlap pieces
- Coat the whole chicken with honey and seasonings
- Bake for 60 minutes (or until brown on both sides)
- Turn the chicken once, 30 minutes into 60-minute cooking time
