Labor Day Picnic Macaroni and Cheese Ingredients
Appropriate for: CKD Stage 1, 2 CKD Stage 3, 4 transplant
Diets: dairy-free gluten-free halal high-fiber kosher low-cholesterol low-fat low-phosphorus low-protein nut-free
Serves Four
2 cups noodles (any shape you want)
2 to 3 cups boiling water
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt-free butter (or margarine)
1/4 tsp dried mustard
How to Prepare Labor Day Picnic Macaroni and Cheese
- Bring water to a boil and add noodles
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes (slightly al dente/tender)
- Drain noodles
- While still very hot, sprinkle with cheese, stir in butter and mustard
- Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until top is golden brown
