Here is every word Neff says in the video.
- Hi! I'm Neff, from The Kidney Experts. Welcome! Let's get you ready for your first visit.
- Most of your first visit is a talk. We'll go over your health, your medicines, and your blood pressure. We'll look at any blood and urine results you have. Those results help show how your kidneys work.
- Here's what to bring. First, bring your photo ID and your insurance card.
- Next, bring a list of all your medicines. Put pills from the store on it, too. Add vitamins, herbs, and supplements too. Or just bring all your bottles.
- Do you check your blood pressure at home? Bring your log. Have recent lab results or hospital papers? Bring those too.
- Did we ask you to get lab tests before your visit? Then follow the steps we gave you. You don't need to skip food for these tests. Don't stop any medicine unless we tell you to. Not sure? Ask us.
- Write down your questions before you come. You can bring a family member or friend. They can help take notes.
- If something we say doesn't make sense, ask until it does.
- We're here to help. Bring your questions to every visit. Let's take care of your kidneys together!

Talk with your care team
This video helps you learn. It does not tell you what is going on with your own kidneys. Your care team knows your health. Ask them what your numbers mean for you.
