Here is every word Neff says in the video.

  1. Hi! I'm Neff, from The Kidney Experts. Let's talk about blood pressure and your kidneys.
  2. Blood pressure is how hard your blood pushes on the walls of your blood vessels.
  3. Your kidneys are filters. They have lots of small blood vessels. Over time, high blood pressure can hurt them. Then your kidneys may not clean out all the waste and extra fluid.
  4. And here is the twist. Hurt kidneys can make blood pressure go up even more. Each one can make the other worse.
  5. Most of the time, high blood pressure has no signs. You can feel fine. So the only way to know is to check it.
  6. One high number is not the whole story. Your care team looks at a few checks on different days. They may ask you to check at home too.
  7. We also check your kidneys. A blood test shows how well they filter. A urine test looks for a protein called albumin.
  8. What can help? Stay active. Eat less salt. Keep a healthy weight. If you smoke, try to quit. Many people need medicine too.
  9. Your care team can help you find the blood pressure goal that is right for you. Please don't change your medicines because of one reading. Talk to your team first.
  10. We're here to help. Bring your questions to every visit. Let's take care of your kidneys together!
